Hey guys, I had been too busy with my work last days, but now I am back to sprinkle my trends knowledge upon you! Well, lemme tell you about some unique bags in trend this fall season 2011-2012, as you know fabric bags are the crazy trend, there are now carpet bags made in carpet or say “dari” fabrics stealing the show. Thick and heavy fabrics like carpets, rugs, tapestry etc are being widely used these days for creating unique kind of bags. You can easily find these bags at my favorite brands like “Anthropologie”, “Free people”,” Asos” and many others. I am using such fabrics in my bag collections too, and they look amazing, as they say trends come again but every-time they get more contemporary in their outlook. Carpet style bags have Aztec and geometric patterns as you must have read how much is fashion being influenced with the tribal looks this season. Tapestry fabrics mixed with carpet styles make some really interesting combinations. Just check out some carpet bags I am talking about!

Fashion repeats, it comes back…So here are some Bright jeans back in trend with a reprisal this summer! It’s getting popular among many Hollywood stars and is being sported in high spirits by many of those fashion chics. With the color blocking trend, bright colored trousers are widely popular these days. So just take a break from those regular blue denims or boring beige trousers and go for vibrant hues and in a colorful mood. Fringes are no more related to the old cowboy looks in fashion now, they are more trendy and are used creatively on anything u wish for. They are not new in trend, they are being widely used since long in fashion now, be it on clothing, bags, shoes or hats they make a big trend this season and will be as popular as now in upcoming trends as fringes are much loved by fashion chics. As i feature a lot of handbag trends in my blog this one is the next and i feature what i like!

Versace’s multicolored twill hobo bag is a standout summer style. It features signature geometric-print fringing; you can carry this luxe leather handbag with any of your neutral color dresses. The bright colors of the print on fringes are perfect to add a burst of colors to your daywear outfits.

Simple and elegant is her style… she is a fashion muse… Sofia Coppola collaborated with her long term friend Marc Jacobs to work on 2012 resort collection under Louis Vuitton brand. She’s known Marc Jacobs for nearly 20 years she said when she gave him his Lifetime Achievement Award at Monday night’s CFDA festivities. She was served as “official muse” for the collection which was based on her personal style consulting on all areas of design. Sofia Coppola is the style icon as i already stated in my previous post on her. She is a talented screenwriter, film director, actress, producer and now a designer by choice! She has also worked earlier for Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 bag campaign and on her own shoes and bags collection for A/W 2010. Check out her latest work with Marc Jacobs for resort 2012 collection.

That’s Louis Vuitton latest 2012 resort collection. I found sofia coppola style so much into the collection. Starting from her cute short hair which can be seen on all models sporting the collection to her classic colors blue, red , white. The collection looked very relaxed, sporty, comfortable yet stylish. There were plenty of baubles and frocks in a more casual way perfect for an outing! wedge heels , boots style, cross body bag added to the trendy collection.

The style was amazingly compiled as a casual frock was team up with perforated leather trims, leather gloves and belt which gives the collection a mixed casual style. No doubts Sofia Coppola did a great job with Marc Jacobs.

Hey guys, so here I am with my new post for the bags section! Tassels are widely used in fashion accessories in the latest trends and have been used even before. Designers like Puchi, Louis Vuitton, and Roberto Cavalli and many more were all fascinated by tassel embellishments on their spring runways. They were featuring them through handbags and clothing. Tassel is a beautiful feature used for decoration purposes mainly. We can see tassel in our everyday lives, they are commonly used along the bottom of hem, as decorating element in the garment, curtains, as a hanging in key-chains, as charms in handbags. You can also find handmade tassel used in auto rickshaws, Camels and horses for decoration purposes! Lemme show you where am I using this as an element for enhancing the look of my bags!

This bright colored tassel is handcrafted by a skilled woman at my workspace. It is made of cotton threads in pink and yellow with colored gold and orange glass bead, I have used this as a hanging for my bag.

Mix n match is the trend on go, so why not in tassel? I used pink cotton threads mixed with shiny gold railing tape to add some shine and bling to my bag with colored wooden bead holding tassel together!

Mixing a variety of colors and textured ribbons tied together with an orange glass bead forming this handmade tassel is my favorite!

Ikat prints are blooming business in the fashion world. They are flooding in the trends since two years now and will be continued in upcoming trends too. I really like these prints personally, they are tribal and hazy. They look perfect for any casual wear or even they are used for the evening looks when used on satin or shimmer fabric or embellished motifs. Ikat prints give a very tribal feel, they are exotic and interesting. They can be classified in hippies fashion or travel in a tribal safari ride. Since images are the best reference in fashion, so here are some Ikat fashions for you.

I bought this Ikat fabric from Fab India store for my bags collection, It is a woven Ikat fabric with summer colors perfect for my spring summer 2012 bags collection.To be more precise about these fabrics, Ikat is a near universal weaving style common to many world cultures. Likely, it is one of the oldest forms of textile decoration. ikat fabric means “to tie” or “to bind”.

These woven ikat prints are from the local market. cool colors versus warm colors , Ikat prints can be found in many forms and colors. These prints are widely used on fashion clothes, accessories, shoes or home furnishings. This trend is still big this fall, and the ikat print brings ethnic-inspired wear to the forefront.

I was really excited to show this bag which is designed by me! Unfortunately I can’t show you the whole bag but I can always share some glimpse to my designs. I have used Ikat print on cotton fabric and flex fabric in solid colors to match the colors of Ikat print. Thread embroidery is hand done and I have mixed two colors for the braided handle. Some beads are also used for highlighting the print.

Similarly, ikat prints can be used on any fashion products as these are widely popular prints and are used promptly by many designers and brands. I will keep posting more about this fashion trend ,so keep reading “I Think Fashion”…

Bottega Veneta Resort 2012 collection was fabulous with the color block dresses of sixties style and use of chiffon fabrics made them even more flirtatious… On the other hand Max Mara played with nude color blocks and minimalistic style of seventies. have a look at Bottega Veneta collection i loved.

I just loved the hot pink and orange mixes in Bottega Veneta collection; they are so fresh and blissful. I like the way chiffon fabrics are put together to form that harmonious flow of the pretty colors in a kaftans dress in first image and a simple tunic in second image. These are the perfect kind of clothes women want in hot climates. The color blocking trend is splendidly followed and bags are just stunningly beautiful in my words! Color blocking bags with pink and orange looks so lively and refreshing.

I just loved the colors and soft frills flowing with the ease in simple dresses, they look so summery with those color block heels in multicolor straps and perfect matching clutch bag.

Bottega Veneta Corset shirtgown was quite experimental with black leather trims and two tone of hot pink the shirtgown was not bad! On the other hand yellow, black, orange worked well for this trend! Ombre black and beige tote bag is smart enough to go with color block dress. All in all the collection was very flattering to me to write a post and not to forget My favorite color blocking trend this summer!

look at the British fashion designer Paul Smith collection for Spring Summer 2011, “masculine” men in suits, who even wore ties he also said “It looks like you borrowed your boyfriend’s shirt, your boyfriend’s jacket, your boyfriend’s trousers,” I got it from Style.com, the color palette is even men inspired, check and stripes suiting fabrics and dotted sleek ties looked perfect, and also the mis-match of colors were odd still not odd

A man’s inspired suiting fabrics, bows and ties with cuffs and coats is the new trend predicted by wwd. I liked it somehow it’s a formal look, and can be experimented in any way you want…

Our very own Aishwarya Rai Bachchan man inspired look was adorable .This was her latest look at pink panther II , she looks gorgeous even in a man tailored suits , with her loose hair she is still classy.

Olivia Palermo at a special screening of ‘Midnight in Paris’ was seen in this look. I somehow really like this look which is so smart and simple. A tie, blazer, white shirt and a trouser are really hot! This trend will surely work at its best for the upcoming season.
What I like most about this look is the girlie nail polish in pink a hard case clutch or a bag and smart heels completes the look for the girls. A tip goes from me is: just leave those hairs loose and see the magic works for you!

Talk about the color blocking trend this summer 2011 and i go crazy as soon as i think of those bold and vibrant hues like Fushia, orange, yellow, green and more…. This trend is fresh and happy ,full of bright colors with simple ideas, just adding a dazzle to any look! I just loved this Anthropologie hard clutch(first image), beautiful use of color blocking in a ekat pattern smudging one over the other! The Tory burch clutch bag is simply divided in two colors red and white with an interesting logo, it didn’t appear that great to me though!

Mod squad clutch bag comes with an abstract geometric pattern and color blocks! Use of bright colors like yellow ,blue, orange depicts the color blocking trend clearly.

Yves Saint Laurent Color block Tote bag shows many colors in one, But i found the colors little dull and not as bright as the color blocking trend works this summer. I believe the colors could be better, the tote would have looked much superior!

I found this fabric in my office which goes perfect with the theme. This geometric tribal pattern was really standing apart from others in the shelf .And this one was so close to the print of the dress which girl is wearing in my first picture, it’s just that this pattern is little scale down.
