Recently Jaipur – pink city was listed among the top 25 most romantic cities in the world by welovedate.com and it is undoubted. Well, I recently had a trip to Jaipur and it is worth standing among the top. However, I had been to Udaipur too and I personally liked it more may be because of the beautiful lakes it has. There are many places to visit in Jaipur. It is also known for its rich culture and royal heritage which will awaken all your senses. It has romance in the air. Some of the unique romantic activities can be done together here like the most famous “Elephant Ride”. I couldn’t try this one as to get this done you need to wake up early morning like you need to reach “Amer fort” at 7 am in the morning to get your hands on this activity.
I was on a leisure trip with my husband and stayed at “The Lalit hotels” Jaipur. The hotel was beautiful but I feel that its more commercial. If you really want to feel the royalty of Jaipur then always opt for a heritage hotel. There are so many to choose from. You can experience the real Rajasthani culture in Jaipur heritage hotels.

Jaipur is known as the “pink city” and you will find the walls of old Jaipur have painted pink all around. There were many places where we visited and some we missed.
Places to Visit in Jaipur
The beautiful view of the palace floating in the middle of the sea is worth a view. The palace had a royal feel and the view itself is amazing. You can get a quick view of this palace on the way to Amer fort too.
2. Amer Fort
This was the home to the famous princess Jodha in the past. Ancient walls of this palace are constructed in a beautiful way. It’s lying beside a lake and so the scenic view of the palace is a perfect landscape. It has a marvelous mirror room inside and paintings, embossing inside the palace are a must watch. You can also take a romantic elephant ride which only you get early mornings.
3. City Palace
The home to the royal family of Jaipur. This palace has all the historic things stored inside. Beautiful floral motifs painted outside the palace are unique and classy. It’s a hub for designers inspiration. You can also get to know the different crafts of Rajasthan as you roam inside the palace.
4. Albert Hall Museum
Another interesting place with loads of handicrafts and cultural inspirations for people who are designers, archaeologist or deals with the subject of history. However, you will get to see and know many things which you would definitely not like to miss while on the Jaipur trip.
5. Laxmi Narayan Temple
A place for Hindu worship. This marble temple is beautifully made. It gives you a view of the religious cultures of India.
6. Chowki Dhani
Finally, a great place to have Rajasthani food. From “dal bati churma” to “bajre ki roti” you can taste all here. You can see how happy we are posing for the picture while relishing the taste of the food. Though I found this place little costly as its per person Rs 800/- so plan accordingly. If you have very short time to see Jaipur and experience the Rajasthani culture, this place will give you all. You can also shop for block printing fabrics and different crafts of Rajasthan here.
